2021 Mazda CX-30: So much to love
March 30 2021,
Mazda unveiled its brand new five-passenger sport utility vehicle, the Mazda CX-30, at the Los Angeles Auto Show back in 2019 and it is now available for sale. This new Mazda SUV fits between the CX-3 and the CX-5 in the Mazda SUV lineup and affordably offers impressive versatility and traditional Mazda driving pleasure.
With an elegant and daring style, the CX-30 is the second model to adopt the latest evolution of the Kodo design, a more mature interpretation of Mazda’s design philosophy. Offered in multiple models for 2021, namely the GX, GS, and GT, the CX-30 is available with two different engines. With an affordable starting price, the CX-30 GX is less costly than many of its direct competitors.
The CX-30 GX is powered by a 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder engine and a SKYACTIV 6-speed automatic gearbox. The engine develops 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. All GS and GT models are equipped with the 2.5-litre SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder engine coupled to a Skyactiv-Drive 6-speed automatic gearbox as well. This engine develops 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, which is a lot of power for a small SUV.
For 2021, the 2021 Mazda CX-30 is also offered with a remarkable turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers up to 250 horsepower. You won’t find a more powerful engine in this segment, we can promise you that.
Depending on the engine chosen, Mazda’s new compact SUV offers fuel economy ranging from 8.9 to 9.9 L/100 km in the city and 7.1 to 7.7 L/100 km on the road.
The Mazda CX-30 comes very well equipped right out of the gate with many features such as a large 8.8-inch central screen with Mazda Connect, an AM/FM audio system with eight speakers and HD Radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and auto-off LED headlights.
